About us...
Founded in February of 2003, the East Bay Coast Guard Spouses Club (EBCGSC) is a non-profit association
to provide social support and communication in the East Bay area of San Francisco, CA.
Our club is open to spouses and family members of all ranks from active duty, retired, reserve and
auxiliary military personnel; Public Health service families; and widows or widowers of military personnel.
We have sister clubs located in Novato, CA known as the North Bay Coast Guard Spouses Club (NBSC) and
in Petaluma known as the Petaluma Coast Guard Spouses Club (PSC). For our color brochure (.pdf) click here.
New this year, the EBCGSC meets the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The meeting locations
will vary, although many time we meet in the Special Purpose Dining Room (Galley Bldg) on Coast Guard Island in Alameda.
Babysitting is
available during meetings on a donation basis. Changes of meeting time and location may be made
periodically and will be communicated to all members of the club.

Scholarship Application
The East Bay Coast Guard Spouses Club and First Command
Education Foundation are offering a $1500.00 scholarship. The
scholarship is for any dependant child of active duty, retired or
deceased military members of any branch of the uniformed
services. The applicants may be in college now or a graduating
senior. The scholarship deadline is May 15, 2008 and the
scholarship will be awarded in June. Applicants should complete the
application
and give to their advisor (see
letter for instructions).
If you know of any Coast Guard family that is an E-6 or below who is stationed in the San Francisco Bay area and is
expecting a new baby or just had

Childhood Spanish Language Program
- Private Classes (3-18 years) weekly 1 hour classes, 4-6 students
- School Programs: Included as part of school cirriculum
- Tutoring: One hour classes, emphasis high school students
- After School Program: Classes contracted with Alameda public and private schools and held on school site
- Adult Classes: weekly 1 hour classes (min 5 students)
Children are immersed in the Spanish language with emphasis on daily living language usage and
cultural sensitivity. Activities include but are not limited to language skills, art, grammar, music and movement,
reading, writing, and cultural awareness.
